Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 13 October 2026

These terms govern access to ConcaveIQ, operated by WhyPred Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”). By using the service you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the organisation you represent (“you”).

1. The service

ConcaveIQ provides business information about the Australian financial-services industry, assembled from public government registers and from information organisations publish about themselves, together with derived classifications, AI-assisted search and research. Accounts are issued by us and are for use inside your organisation by the named user only.

2. Information, not financial advice

Nothing on ConcaveIQ is financial advice, a recommendation, or an offer of any financial product. It does not consider anyone’s objectives, financial situation or needs. The public registers remain the authoritative record.

3. Accuracy and AI-generated content

Register data is reproduced as published at the date shown. Derived fields (classifications, websites, contact details, descriptions, signals) and AI-generated answers and research reports are produced by automated methods, may be incomplete or wrong, and are provided as-is. Published investment views (“signals”) show what an organisation wrote, not what it has invested or will invest. Verify anything material before relying on it.

4. Your obligations when using personal information

ConcaveIQ contains personal information about people working in financial services. When you use it you must:

  • use it only for legitimate business-to-business purposes connected with your organisation’s own business;
  • comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles as if you were bound by them, the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth) — including identifying yourself in every message and honouring unsubscribe and opt-out requests promptly;
  • not use the information to contact anyone at a home address or personal number, to make decisions about individuals as consumers (such as credit, insurance, employment screening or tenancy), or to harass anyone;
  • not combine the information with other data to build profiles of individuals outside their professional role;
  • delete from your own systems, within 30 days of our notice, any exported record we tell you has been removed at the individual’s request; and
  • tell us promptly of any complaint, privacy request or suspected breach relating to information obtained from ConcaveIQ.

5. Acceptable use

You may not resell, sublicense, republish or redistribute the data; share credentials; scrape, crawl or bulk-extract content beyond the export and API allowances of your plan; attempt to circumvent watermarks, quotas or security; or use the service to build a competing product. API keys are confidential and you are responsible for their use.

6. Plans, fees and exports

Access is subject to the plan agreed with us, including the one-time workspace access fee and the monthly or annual subscription quoted to you. Usage allowances (assistant messages, research runs, export rows, API calls) reset monthly. Exported files are watermarked to the account that produced them, and these terms continue to apply to exported data after your subscription ends.

7. Intellectual property and attribution

We own the service, its derived datasets and classifications. Source data remains subject to its own licences: the platform contains data licensed CC BY 3.0 AU by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, and data from the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, the Australian Business Register and APRA. ConcaveIQ is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of these bodies.

8. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. Individuals can check, correct or remove their records at Remove or correct your information.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access immediately for breach of sections 4 or 5, or if required by law. You may cancel at the end of a billing period. On termination you must stop using the service and, on request, delete exported data.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You indemnify us for loss arising from your breach of section 4.

11. General

We may update these terms by giving notice in the service or by email; continued use after the effective date is acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the parties submit to the courts of that state. Contact: hello@concaveiq.com.
